"Andy on the bridge in San Francisco Park"
Genelle and I finally got to go on vacation to California in the summer of 1999. What a great trip it was. We started in Carmel for sightseeing and dinner, spent a few days in San Francisco, hit Napa Valley for two days, then on to Lake Tahoe. From there we went to Yosemite, Beverly Hills, and Manhattan Beach. We plan to go back sometime in the future and have some more fun there. That's me on a bridge in the Japanese Tee Garden which is part of this gigantic park right in the middle of the city. Well worth parking the car and walking around for hours.
"Genelle at bed and breakfast in Napa Valley"
This is the point in our trip where we finally got away from the crowds and got to relax. The view here is from our bedroom deck which overlooks a beautiful Napa Valley vineyard. We spent the next two days wine tasting and driving through the wonderful countryside.
"View from Napa of Sanoma Valley"
The winding roads were narrow and offered no guard rails for protection. Genelle was getting a little nervous but we all survived. Later that day we went to Greystone for one of the best diners that we've ever had. Of course we had a nice bottle of red wine to go with it.
"Genelle at Lake Tahoe near Emerald Bay"
Tahoe was fun because we could gamble in our hotel and the scenery is just spectacular. We rode horses, hiked up to the peak at Heavenly Valley, and just had a blast doing what ever we wanted. This is possibly the most beautiful place in the world.
"Genelle on top of the world"
Every fall we go to the Adirondacks for a three day weekend. It's also a very scenic place with lots of lakes and mountains. Here's Genelle on top of Bald Mountain which we've hiked up twice in the last few years and we only got lost once.
